Informatica acquires StrikeIron
On June 13th, 2014, Informatica announced its acquisition of StrikeIron, a cloud-based contact verification solution and is part of Informatica Cloud’s strategy for data quality management The acquisition adds to Informatica’s existing global address verification capabilities with AddressDoctor, acquired in 2009, providing a more complete solution for customers to manage their contact databases. Informatica’s strength in financial services, healthcare and manufacturing, and StrikeIron’s strength in retail, marketing services and high tech will provide both organizations with new opportunities, and customers with a value-add to their contact data quality requirements. StrikeIron’s API framework and expertise provides Informatica with the chance to extend its own existing and new solutions, as well as greater partner opportunities.
