Ascentis acquires Starfield

On July 11, 2014, Ascentis Corporation announced the acquisition of Starfield, introducing broader talent management capabilities to its human capital management (HCM) suite. Ascentis provides small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) with an HRIS system that delivers core HR automation, payroll, time and attendance, and talent management facilitated through self-service capabilities and engaged through BI functionality and data warehouse reporting. The acquisition of Starfield expands these capabilities to include learning management, performance management, 360 degree assessments, compensation management, succession planning, and analytics, increasing the reach of key benefits provided by Ascentis to more of the workforce.
