Llamasoft unveils SaaS platform for supply chain design
On December 4, 2014 Llamasoft announced the release of SupplyChainGuru.com, a SaaS cloud platform for supply chain design. This development means that companies can now undertake supply chain redesigns without having to lay out cash upfront for a software license. This announcement should stir up the industry, as many companies turn to consulting firms for supply chain design work in large part because businesses cannot justify the capital outlay for a software license. A SaaS offering makes it more feasible for small to medium-size companies to do periodic supply chain design and redesign projects.
