Development in financial planning and accounting

Customers and vendors are not entirely on the same page. Some vendors stick to their roots in either planning or accounting, and some vendors try to bridge the gap. In talking with CPM end users, Nucleus has found that the functionality development strategy of many vendors has yet to match up with finance department culture. Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and accounting are still fairly isolated and do not reflect the emphasis from vendors on cross-functional products.
