2020 Outlook Assessment – PROS

PROS is an established product, pricing, and revenue management solutions vendor that targets large organizations with over $250M in annual revenue. Since the company launched its cloud initiative in 2015, it has experienced rapid revenue growth, and currently competes with Salesforce, SAP, and Oracle. Despite the economic downturn, PROS’s strong performance in 2019 continued through to Q1 2020, where it achieved 18 percent year-over-year revenue growth. Nucleus attributes PROS’s success to its ability to mitigate the effects of the slowdown considering the vendor is entrenched in business-to-business and e-commerce spaces—domains that are relatively undisrupted by the downturn. Nucleus expects PROS to emerge from the economic decline in a position to continue its expansion, especially as competitors that serve the mid-market recover more slowly.
