When Nucleus Research analysts investigated various deployments of Kira, they found corporate law departments were able to reduce the cost of reviewing and analyzing legal documents by increasing productivity and efficiency across multiple seniority levels. These increases were seen across all stages of the review process. Law departments are required to review large volumes of contracts either for due diligence, lease review, deal points and more, and look to identify liabilities, risks or additional steps required. Being able to review the volumes of contracts under tight timelines is a challenge for lawyers and limits their ability to access vital information in their contracts and documents they would need about the target company in an acquisition, or to adhere to changing compliance requirements internally. It is also time intensive and takes away from being able to focus on higher value activities or projects internally.
