Oracle battles for HR supremacy

Oracle OpenWorld 2013 unveiled an Oracle ready for the battle over who owns the HR market in the cloud. It is leveraging its considerable install base to drive adoption of its edge applications and grow HR market share in areas that have not been as fully developed and where competition is fiercest. A visual make over that promises to cut across all cloud applications, with social capabilities and mobility prominently featured, advances this agenda. While this make over will extend to CRM and HCM, HCM seems to be the bigger play where this strategy can pay off. Oracle now has the opportunity to show how this new look will help it stand out in a crowded market where competitors are pushing their own complete hire to retire cloud solutions, often at a lower price point.
