Sophos acquires Braintrace

Sophos, a provider of cybersecurity solutions, recently announced its completed acquisition of network threat detection vendor, Braintrace. The move reflects the increasing demand for cloud-based cybersecurity solutions to enable supervision of cyber threats in multivendor application networks. The acquisition will provide customers of both vendors with a more comprehensive cybersecurity platform, with enhancements to Sophos’ existing Network Detection and Response (NDR) and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) capabilities. The acquisition expanded Sophos’ global MDR service team, as Braintrace’s developers and security analysts have joined to share their expertise. Nucleus expects this new addition will enable Sophos to reach a broader customer base and improve its market share in the MDR provider space.
