The state of content management in 2021
Nucleus surveyed content management customers to identify the primary drivers that influenced their software selection and how their IT priorities have changed over the past year. The unique pandemic landscape affected content management needs, putting more focus on collaboration. The majority of business leaders interviewed said that they are still transitioning into a permanent work structure, with 70 percent reporting that they will become fully remote or hybrid. Full suite providers will be a critical factor of business success going forward, with collaboration, security, and automation in a singular location becoming the forefront of organizational needs. Nucleus expects that the content management market will shrink over the next year, as customers shift to remote and hybrid work structures and abandon best-of-breed solutions for the simplicity and functionality of a full suite.
